stretch Had a beautiful flow this morning @yogaonthehill_  Feeling SO grateful for this studio for our amazing teachers... for this amazing practice. Besides the physical benefits which are clear to see my progress physically. But what you can't see.... how much patience I have acquired. I have taught myself patience and grace (some days not to good) through this practice. I have endurance. I can endure high intensity stretches with a smile on my face now. That's a lot of mental power right there. I have connected to me right deep inside all the outer layers. Learning what ALL the feels are and whether it's even mine (I'm an empath). I'm such a hot head.. it's taught me to stop and think about what I'm about to burst out of my mouth. I've held grace on the mat. I've taken it off the mat (still struggle some days). I've learnt how to deal with high intensity emotions better. And finally acceptance. Some of the poses you have no choice to accept and surrender or you whining like a baby! Learn acceptance and to let go of the hurt! Wow all in a yoga class. Not one yoga class, not two. But four years of dedication, I have worked hard on myself and how I project my inside to the outside world. Man, yoga I'm SO grateful. 💫

▪︎ There is a special focus on the details & musculoskeletal alignment within each #asana & poses are held for much longer than in other schools.

▪︎ Bikram class consists of copyrighted 26 postures and 2 breathing techniques practiced in a hot room (105°F/ 40.6°C with a 40% humidity).
▪︎ It is founded by #Bikram Choudhury & meant to flush toxins & manage weight (although weight loss happens mostly by lose of water & loss of electrolyes and minerals from the body. Therefore it is very important to replenish fluids & nutrients after the class).

stretch A different way to train your core💪⠀

👉Anti movement core strengthening has now become more common in the world of performance training and therapy.  That means, your core is works most efficiently when its resisting movements.  This allows for the transfer of forces from your lower body to your upper body without any lost power.⠀
.⠀
For example during a snatch, a strong core will allow the transfer of forces from the your lower half through your core into your upper half and allow you to lift the barbell overhead.  This is similar in how baseball pitchers create force starting with their lower half and end up transferring that force into the baseball, allowing it to move as fast as it does. .⠀

stretch 💺Let’s be honest we all spend way too much time sat down, problem with this is it can lead to muscles tightening up and causing issues elsewhere. Like potential lower back pain by being pulled into an excessive anterior pelvic tilt. The Couch stretch is a great way to help relieve some tension, it’s brutal 😅 but very effective.

🍑It’s important to keep contracting and relaxing your Glute to really feel the stretch and help you maintain a neutral pelvic position.

Don’t be disheartened if you struggle to sit right back, work with what you got consistently and I promise you’ll start to see your mobility improve. Hope this helps 🙌

The human body has the amazing ability to adapt to our environment. 
With poor posture becoming the norm, due to our ever changing surroundings and inventions, our bodies are becoming lazy, weak and dysfunctional.  As our bodies adapt to eg. Extended periods of sitting behind desk, our muscles adapt to this new posture and starts to pull the body out of it postural integrity.  This creates new habitual movement patterns and postures, that may lead to serious spinal discomfort, headaches, neck pain and can go as far as affecting the internal systems and organs of the body. 
Poor alignment can be improved and corrected through chiropractic adjustments and corrective exercises, such as Pilates. 
In this post we will discuss some of the different postures classifications and compliment them with some corrective movements, also looking at the how good posture affects the body.

Что нужно сделать, чтобы сдержать эмоцию? Напрячь мышцы и какое-то время держать их в тонусе!
В процессе сдерживания нам особенно активно помогают наши ограничивающие убеждения: «ты не должен показывать свои эмоции другим людям», «держи свои эмоции при себе», «твои эмоции никому не нужны», «ни кому нет дела до того, почему ты злишься»…
В итоге мы сдерживаем эмоции:
🔸 когда сомневаемся
🔸 когда думаем о других (а не о себе)
🔸 когда пытаемся думать логически
🔸 когда пытаемся планировать на несколько шагов вперед
Что нужно сделать, чтобы отпустить эмоции?
«Всего-то» расслабить мышцы тела и какое-то время держать их расслабленными. А вот это является самым сложным для большинства людей.
Мышцы тела не расслабляются произвольно достаточно глубоко и интенсивно.

После занятий по растяжке первое, что говорят мои занимающиеся - "вау, хочется летать, чувствуется свобода и легкость в теле"🙌
ГРУППОВЫЕ ЗАНЯТИЯ ПО РАСТЯЖКЕ проводятся в мини группах до 5 человек.
Я уделяю внимание и тяну каждого.
Занятия проходят:

stretch Me in pjs and half asleep... I had to go back to bed today with a headache and I was just so tired,  and with a last minute cancellation it meant I could! But then I hauled myself out and made myself do some yoga. It’s ironic how these past few weeks have been the time I have needed it the most and yet with things so busy and stressful I have not been doing much personal practice at all. So this week it’s changing- I really needed to stretch and move and my shoulder and head do honestly feel better- even if I was stuck just stretching and trying to breathe in certain postures as it felt so good/bad !!!! Now I’ve put it out there in public it hopefully means I will be there on my mat every day. Yoga really is magic, but you need to show up for the magic to happen! ✨

stretch We left to see the Kargil War Memorial in Drass at 7.30 in the morning like the boys @magumedia, @akshayj99
and I had done last year. Its the perfect time of the day to go see the memorial as the highway is empty, the air is cool and the morning sights are spectacular. This time it was my lovely and sporting wife @rubi_shkh for company and it was easy riding, military medium speed, taking in the magnificent sights on the way unlike last time where we boys were full throttle pushing the Royal Enfield Himalayan beyond its capacity!

В танце же ты можешь быть кем угодно и делать всё что угодно. Тебе тепло на душе - танцуй что-то уютное, тебе радостно и весело - отрывайся, сегодня игривое настроение - будь сексуальным, хочешь кричать - кричи, хочешь плакать - плачь. Ведь это ты, кто тебя остановит?
