lift i think it’s safe to say that I look a LOT better after my workout than during.... I guess I haven’t mastered the whole ~looking cute while I lift~ thing that all these fitness insta ppl have. Like I swear, how long do they spend getting ready?!🤣 anywaysss here’s part of my triceps/shoulders (FAVE DAY) lift coming straight to ya from 5:00am maddie:) I couldn’t film all of it but I’ll list everything I did below in case you wanna try!

Cable tricep pull downs: 3x 12
Dumbbell shoulder lateral raises: 3x 15 on each arm

lift Some of you've noticed I've been MIA for a bit. I don't usually like sharing things that leave me looking or feeling weak, but the last month, while incredibly challenging has thought me a lot.

If you don't know these things about me it's likely because I've put a lot of energy into hiding the things that I've always thought were weakness or left me vulnerable to criticism and judgment. But my clients have taught me a lot this month and I wanted to just share some of them. 
so as a 33 year old autistic guy with clinical depression and social anxiety disorders Here are some things I've learned over the last month

1) it's okay not to be okay. 
2) it's okay to be angry, sad, disappointed, lost, anxious. Learn from these things and grow.

3) even when we feel lost, lonley, abandoned and like no one cares. They care, there are people who love you, value you and want to help pick you up when you fall down.

4)it's okay to slow down, pull back, rest or just trying a different way. Pushing yourself to keep doing something that isn't working just because you think you have to is more of a fail than acknowledging that what's been happening isn't working and to try something else.

5) the way we see ourselves isn't always accurate or fair. What we call flaws others call character or, in all honesty don't even see.

So yeah, the last month hasn't been easy. I've cried a lot. It's been hard waking up some mornings and falling asleep other evenings. I've had thoughts that were happy or pleasant. I've considered giving up, hiding and just existing has been okay.

And that's fine. Be cause I'm loved. I'm cared for. I'm supported in my choices. This is why I feel comfortable and confident in my decisions to take a break from bodybuilding, to focus on learning my body and movement to a deeper level.

Always remember.... You're loved. Wanted. Supported. Needed. Cared for. .

lift Had a great ham and glute session today! I added a lot of single leg exercises such as reverse lunges, walking lunges, and single leg leg press. The only exercises that I performed in an “A” frame stance (feet parallel) were my hip hinges. I have found it more beneficial I target my hams and glutes by implementing more single leg exercises. When picking a weight for single leg exercises you may be surprised that you may find that you are not able to do half the weight as you can with two legs. Always try to include single leg/arm exercises in your routine and always start with your “weak” leg/arm to ensure that you are getting the most out of the workout.
