ibsdiet How do people make burgers look fit!? And also how do people get their laughing tackle round huge burgers like this 🤣

Homemade extra lean turkey burger for dinner with little gem lettuce, tomato and mayo in a @geniusglutenfree toasted cob -425kcals well spent!! Burgers were so easy to make, simply mix 250g 2% fat turkey breast meat with a generous serving of sea salt, black pepper and dried chives, give it a good mix with your hands and form into burger shapes then grill - serves 2

A quick but delicious tea. I love carbonara especially as it's so easy to make 
Crème fraiche, chicken, pasta, onions, pepper, mushrooms, spinach, Italian herb and garlic oil. 
Absolutely perfect 😍

On another note, I'm super excited as today we booked to go to Disney in may. Unfortunately, our holiday to Cuba was cancelled due to the Thomas Cook collapse today but we cheered ourselves up with a holiday to the happiest place on earth ☺️

ibsdiet Dinner on the go! I can’t tell you the last time I bought a ready made sandwich 🥪 ! Tonight I decided to try this @marksandspencer Made without Wheat Egg and Cress sandwich. Apart from the ‘Apple Extract’ (towards the end) I can’t see anything High FODMAP (open to being corrected though!). See ingredients in last pic ➡️. It was reduced too so can’t go wrong! Love a #yellowsticker 💛! Sandwich tasted really good. Although I was super hungry😆. Bread was a tiny bit dry, but no more dry than other gluten free breads I’ve tried. Haven’t seen it before - I will have to look out for it again! Egg and cress used to be my go to sandwich (with a packet of mini cheddars 😆) so I’m happy! Anyone else tried this sandwich before? Got some edamame and mixed fruit too. Yum! 😍 Thanks M&S! 💚

ibsdiet I tried a new dinner... I get really nervous once it’s cooked as I’m worried it won’t taste nice and that my husband won’t like it and then dinner is ruined! Anyway... this was a success!!! Salmon with bok choi and tomatoes wrapped in filo pastry (there was also a creamy sauce that the veg cooked in that was #dairyfree butter and oatly creme fraiche #lactoseintolerant #onionfree #ibs #ibsdiet

ibsdiet I swear this tastes nicer than it looks👌🏼😂 After a terrible weekend of eating and drinking waaaay too much it’s time to get back on the wagon. 
This has been my go to breakfast recently - strawberries, raspberries and red grapes chopped and mixed with an Oykos salted caramel yoghurt😍 and I remembered to take a picture of it this time, because usually I wolf it down😂

I always eat breakfast at my desk when I’m working. It makes lunch time seem closer and I don’t seem to snack as much anymore!

ibsdiet I like going to @humblegrape but to charge me an extra £4 just so I can eat the molten camembert on something (3 slices of what I think was @schaerglutenfree bread) is a bit much. It's not like I have a choice. I'll either be ill from eating the homemade bread or not. The cheese was great, and they left the garlic off for me, and I can recommend their wine, but FOUR POUNDS... Sigh. I think #ibssufferers definitly pay for our illness in more ways than one... .

ibsdiet When you’re working on a final essay in your masters and you complete the first draft you stress bake 🤷🏼‍♀️ This is Red currant oat cake. 
@myproteinuk Gluten free oats 100g
@freeefoods gluten self raising flour 100g 
@myvegan vanilla protein 25g
1 teaspoon baking powder 
Canned pumpkin 150g
Red currants 40g
Sweetener of choice to taste

Fold all together with a little water till well combined. Add to loaf tin and bake 30-35 minutes until top crispy.
Makes 8 pieces. With sugar free sweetener this is 110kcals a bar. .

And finally I have found an easy and safe way to make them!⠀
... I use the ladle! I break the egg in it ant then put the ladle in boiling water. So easy! I am sure I'm going to have a lot more eggs now (even though I should be careful, egg is a little trigger for me 😕)⠀

ibsdiet I did not want to workout this morning. 
It has been a busy weekend and I've been exercising strenuously. My body said "sleep" but my brain said I had to get up and do this. 
Once I got started it wasn't so bad. Actually I felt pretty good. All I needed was to move and the endorphins kicked in. 
Part of my issue was I had eaten pizza yesterday. 
It's not that it's not allowed on my eating plan but it was not gluten free! I'm getting progressively worse and now I've reached the point where I will have to make my own pizza if I want to continue eating it. The pain I had last night was bad. 
I get so annoyed when I find things I can't eat anymore. I have to be more aware than ever about things that contain wheat. That didn't seem so bad until I priced Almond flour! Holy cow! It's expensive to eat healthy! 
Today I'm consuming information about gluten free options to avoid this pain in the future. I don't like feeling bad and I certainly don't like trying to workout while feeling this way. I wonder how many people I interact with have the same issue I do. And I also wonder- is there a correlation between gluten intolerance and IBS? As my mom would say-"its tough getting old!" My husband and I are working on some projects around our property and the rain has stopped so I must get busy and help him. I'd love to hear from any FB friends who have gluten issues and have favorite recipes they can share.

ibsdiet Smoothie bowls are my favorite breakfast. I like to top my bowls with toppings I really eat. I am against food waste, so the idea of topping my bowl with dozens of toppings that I wouldn’t eat doesn’t make sense to me at all. I think we can all do our part to reduce food waste, at least, by eating our dishes completely or then saving them as leftovers!💜 .

I love eggplants, but often recipes with eggplants are super heavy and very high in fodmaps⠀ (let's just talk about "melanzane alla parmigiana" for a moment. How amazing is that dish? Easy to make a low fodmap and light version, but using true mozzarella and deep fried eggplants the taste is so much better!)⠀

I love eggplants also on a grill, just with olive oil, salt and basil.⠀
But... Isn't stuffed eggplant even better?⠀
.⠀
Here you have the recipe:⠀
Cut an eggplant in two, carve the inside and cook it on a pan. ⠀
Mix some ground beef with Pancetta (similar to bacon), gr bread crumbs, lactose free cheese (I used lactose free mozzarella and grana padano), basil and the cooked eggplant. ⠀
Fill the skin if the Eggplant with your mixture and cook between 30 and 60 minutes. ⠀

The STUFFED eggplants⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I love eggplants, but often recipes with eggplants are super heavy and very high in fodmaps⠀ (let's just talk about "melanzane alla parmigiana" for a moment. How amazing is that dish? Easy to make a low fodmap and light version, but using true mozzarella and deep fried eggplants the taste is so much better!)⠀ .⠀ I love eggplants also on a grill, just with olive oil, salt and basil.⠀ But... ibsdiet Sooo finally - time for my baked goods: Chocolate Sauerkraut Muffins!
Muffins might not be the fanciest thing to do. But hey, muffins are a all time go-to, right? 😉

I tried to lower the sugar content so they did get a little herby (don’t know if this is a word 😂) from the dark chocolate. A good way to train your taste buds not to crave that much sugar anymore 😋

And now to the „special“ ingredient: it‘s sauerkraut! I know, you might think I‘m crazy putting sauerkraut in my muffins. 🤯 Buuuuuut: you don‘t taste it! It works very well with the chocolate and it makes the muffins nicely moist! They simply are delicious! 😍

Ingredients: chicken, butternut squash, broccoli, carrots, green beens, white & sweet potatoes, rice and coconut oil!
Steps to cook
1. Put oil in pan, cook meet right so you don’t die
2. Steam vegetables

. 🔺FODMAP, Fermente edilmiş Oligo-, Di-, Mono-sakkaritleri ve Polyolleri temsil eden bir kısaltmadır. Bu karbonhidratlar, karbonhidrat zincir uzunluklarına göre gruplanmıştır.
🔺FODMAP’ların bağırsak mikrobiyatası, bağırsak engeli, immün yanıt, viseral duyu üzerinde doğrudan veya dolaylı etkilerle gastrointestinal semptom oluşumuna dahil olduğu görülmüştür.
🔺Bunlar göz önünde bulundurularak kişilere göre farklı kısıtlamalarla uygulanan Düşük FODMAP diyeti özellikle İrritable bağırsak sendromunda, İnflamatuar bağırsak hastalıklarında kullanılabilen bir beslenme tedavi yöntemidir.

ibsdiet 🍎BREAKFAST: oatmeal porridge with linseed oil and pieces of kiwi
🍎I drank some ginger and lemon tea again and you should try it because I find it really helpful. Adding some linseed oil to your porridge is another helpful thing for your constipation but don’t add it too much, otherwise it’ll ruin the good tase.
🍎So what about today?? I had a nice day. I’m still constipated but I’m a little better now. I ate a muesli bar today and it was so yummy. (I haven’t eaten those things in a long time) I guess I’m getting better and better. 💛

ibsdiet ★ Dinner yesterday evening was this fluffy and delicious frittata with spring onions (green tops) and courgette. How to make it: in a frying pan brown the spring onions green parts in 4 tablespoon of evo oil, then add chopped courgette. Finally 4 whisked eggs. On medium heat, let it cook, lifting the edges to check. Then using a plate turn the frittata over and cook the other side. Done!✌️// 🇮🇹 Morbida frittata low fodmap ieri sera a cena con cipollotti e zucchine. Come si fa: soffriggere le parti verdi dei cipollotti in un tegame abbastanza largo assieme a 4 cucchiai di olio evo. Poi aggiungere le zucchine tritate. Infine aggiungere 4 uova sbattute e cucinare sollevando i lembi di tanto in tanto per controllare il grado di cottura. Quindi ribaltare sull’altro lato aiutandosi con un piatto e completare la cottura✌️

I can tolerate lactose and small amounts of garlic but you could use lactose free yoghurt and garlic infused oil instead.

🏮Just outside Chinatown I stumbled across this Ice Cream bar that I’d heard of a long time ago selling AVOLATOs. Of course I had to try their Avolato as at the time it felt like destiny had wanted us to meet, and with that I couldn’t just leave without trying one!😃😋

🥑 They are simply made from avocados, grape juice and lemon. What resembles the stone is peanut butter🥜 And it’s served in an avocado skin!

😋 I must admit I really enjoyed it; creamy and sweet but not too sweet👌🏼 .

ibsdiet I used to struggle with the most embarrassing gas and bloating back in 2003 when my gut health was in rough shape! 😳😳 As if it wasn't humiliating enough that I was sporting a new bald head from the 6 months of chemotherapy I had just completed, I also had to resort to unflattering, baggy clothes because none of my favourite jeans fit my bloated belly anymore! ibsdiet So the results of my latest SIBO test are back!!
& I’m SO happy!!! (Swipe once to see my results in March - which showed high hydrogen & borderline methane - & swipe again to see my most recent results.) The numbers have gone down like crazy!!! Whilst it says SIBO is suspected,  both hydrogen & methane are BELOW the normal levels. Pretty gutdamn wonderful!!! It feels amazing to know that all the hard work I’ve been investing in my health has actually paid off !!! And that since the levels of bacteria in my small intestine are more normal I’m likely absorbing nutrients properly ! I also received the results from my blood test showing my thyroid, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and autoimmunity markers are all within a normal range!  Whilst I’m not 100% in the clear and there is still work to do with my general gut health & finding the root cause of the SIBO I’m going to be celebrating this victory ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I made this bowl with organic dry cured bacon, roasted peppers, roasted asparagus, sprouts & avocado ! I topped it with olive oil, flax seed oil, ‘no soy’ soya sauce, salt & pepper 🙌🏻
