SEE YOU SOON DISNEYLAND! 🥰🌈💕✨💖
This teacher is finally on summer vacation!! 😍 That means in a few days I’ll be celebrating at Disneyland. 💕 It’s my second time being there and I can’t wait to finally see Pixar Pier and Star Wars! ✨ Leave any other MUST DO’s down below! 😁
THE WALLS ARE DOWN! 😍🌐 Disney’s demolition work on the right side of the Leave a Legacy display has concluded, today revealing this sprawling entrance that hasn’t been seen since the last millennium! You might notice the footprints from where these monoliths were (as well as their floor lights). These will be removed as Disney repaves each side, adds planters, and brings back the original Epcot Spires fountain later this year! Now the demolition work shifts to the other side. Exciting stuff! What do you think of this new view? ✨

✨ sing to me pao (pao chicken from @eatatbento) ✨
I had so much fun celebrating #internationalsushiday at my fave restaurant! When I’m not at the parks, you’ll most likely find me at Bento, especially since there’s a location right by my apartment! It’s been so much fun decorating my cutie apartment, it’s almost ready to show off for a magical apartment tour 🏰

Welcome to my story! 🏝 I hope that it can help answer some of the questions that I know I had before beginning my role within the Walt Disney Company. Without further ado, I think the best way to start this adventure is from the very beginning!
I actually used the handy site disneycareers.com to apply for a lifeguarding job fair that was held in April. Like any other position, though, I was provided with the web-based interview system, but instead of being asked to schedule a phone interview after passing it, I was asked to choose a time to arrive for the job fair held at Typhoon Lagoon! Because of the nature of it being a comprehensive fair, I went through the process of passing different assessments before moving on to an actual in-person interview!
The fair is for lifeguards of all position types (full-time, part-time, seasonal) and all locations (water parks OR resorts), but it’s held at Typhoon Lagoon due to the sheer size of its Surf Pool, which is perfect for testing many people at once! In order to pass as a Shallow Water Lifeguard, I had to cover about one and a half lengths of the pool without stopping to rest, from one set of stairs to the other, then go feet-first to grab a ten-pound brick from the bottom of the water. This is easier than you think!
The exams are simple; hearing consists of identifying the sound of a whistle being blown from moderately far away, and vision is simply reading a somewhat-small line of letters on a vision chart.
The interview was also nothing to be scared about! It’s relatively brief, and to me, it was mostly meant to assess what your attitude is going in to the job and what your experience may be. “What does lifeguarding mean to you?”
I was asked which type of position I would like, and I requested seasonal because I’m going back to school in August. However, I wasn’t able to give a request as to whether I’d like to work at a park or a resort; this is important to keep in mind.
I hope I can help out making your dreams come true as a cast member!! 🏝
