Drop something about you that improved with losing weight that had nothing to do with your looks👇🏻
For me, I’m actually more empathetic and in my opinion, less of a b*#^+ because I’m not always uncomfortable just existing in my own flesh.
What matters most is how you see and value yourself! Don’t let anyone tell you different.

In 2006, I lost 20 lbs
In 2009, I lost 30 lbs
In 2012, I lost 40 lbs
In 2018, I lost 55 lbs
Man, that is hard to admit. Each time I lost weight I gained it all back plus some. This is how the story went: I decided I needed to lose weight, to be skinny. I became obsessive over calorie counting and restricted myself to an unhealthy level. I would run 3-4 miles every day, sometimes twice a day. Then, I would secretly binge. I would eat so much I would be sick. Thousands of calories in one sitting. I would get down to my goal weight and nothing would change. I was still depressed. I still hated myself. It was never enough! And I could never keep the weight off for more than a couple of months. Sound familiar to anyone?
But it doesn’t have to be that way! I know now that you CAN break the cycle. This time, I did the work to change my mindset. I spent time working on my relationship with food and my body image. I worked on the real reasons I was depressed, which had nothing to do with the way my body looked. I found an easier way of eating healthy, without calorie counting and without restricting. I started doing workouts that involved all kinds of things, not just running. And guess what? The weight came off and stayed off (for over a year now)! It is hard work changing your body, but it is so much easier when you do it from a place of self love rather than self hate.
If I can do this, you can do this too! Our next virtual challenge group starts July 29th! You’ll get access to the workouts I’ve been doing, recipes, and a nutrition plan that doesn’t cut out any food groups, as well as daily support in a private app. If you want more info, leave a comment below or send me a message, I would love to have you join me!
