Roxys ready to nap all day and I’m ready to workkkkk. I know I probably sound like a broken record but I love Monday’s. I love the sense of a clean slate, new day, new chance to reach my goals!!🤸🏼♀️🖤 I use to have a #lovehate relationship with Monday’s because I hated my job. I felt disrespected and unsupported almost everyday, and would get stressed the point of panic attacks. The combo of my passion for coaching and getting let go saved my life; and created me love for Monday’s. Getting to do something I actually love for a living is literally a dream come true. If you don’t love Monday’s.... you can join me!! if I can create a successful coaching business I PROMISE that you can. Is intuitive eating the answer? (It is a little like yoga 💛) •
If you have been hanging around the ‘wellness’ spheres of Instagram you’ll know that intuitive eating is getting a bit of buzz - but what is all the hype about? Is this just another trend that is going to pass us by; something else we’ll look back on and cringe, like the #cleaneating phase and that time we went about replacing everything with cauliflower?
Honestly, I think no. Because the POINT of intuitive eating is that we break up with trends and one size fits all approaches in place of tuning into OURSELVES. It is letting go of all that has pushed and pulled us in different directions and instead making YOURSELF the expert of you.
To me it is like yoga in that way; quieting the noise of the outside world to come back to you.
And maybe there is part of you thinking, yes, okay, but what about my diet/ health/ weight/ goals?
Well here’s the thing, research shows us that intuitive eaters have higher self esteem, better body appreciation and acceptance, eat a wider variety of foods, are less likely to engage in emotional eating, have less preoccupation with food, have better self awareness, and are less disordered around food, trust their bodies cues and are more likely to choose foods than enhance their body’s function.
And if that doesn’t sound like something worth fighting/ working for then what does? I have popped a few research paper findings over in my stories if you want to have a look

• CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE LASAGNE •
Makes 8 portions
264 kcals • 44g Protein • 20g carbs • 2.5g fat
• 1 tsp lazy garlic
• 1 tsp lazy chilli
• 1 onion, sliced
• 1kg chicken, diced (small pieces)
• 1 aubergine, diced
• 1 courgette, diced
• 3 peppers, chopped
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 tbsp smoked paprika
• 1 tbsp mixed herbs
• 2 cans chopped toms
• 2 tbsp Tom purée
• 1.5 chicken stock cubes
• 1 tbsp marmite
• 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
• 140g lasagne sheets
• 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
• Chopped parsley
• First tip - you’ll need a big pan!! Do it over 2 pans if you don’t have a big one
• Cook the onions, garlic and chilli for 4 mins over a medium heat
• Add the chicken and cook for 10 mins
• Add the aubergine, courgette, peppers and herbs/paprika and cook for a further 10 mins
• Add the rest of the ingredients expect lasagne, Parmesan and parsley
• Let simmer for 15 mins and season with salt and pepper
• Assemble the lasagne (I did 3 layers of sauce and 2 layers of lasagne sheets
• Sprinkle the top with Parmesan and parsley
• Bake at 220 degrees for 45 minutes
• Serve with veg or salad and extra parsley
Happy Monday lovelies, let’s talk about progress! Progress takes time, which can be quite discouraging when you feel like you’re putting so much effort into your goals and not seeing results. The key is to keep pushing and stay consistent and you will reap the rewards of your hard work! Today when I stretched after working out, both of my elbows were able to reach the floor in my lunge, and during my push workout the other day, I was able to do all of my sets of pushups without moving to my knees! Although these are little accomplishments, it’s nice to see baby steps of progress! What progress are you currently making in your lives physically or mentally?🙌🏻🤩
I had a sweaty lil leg day this morning after taking the weekend off! I love working out in the morning, it was a great way to kick off the week!💪🏻☺️🌱

Superset: leg extensions to kettlebell swings (4x10)
Superset: elevated front squats to deadlifts (4x8)

Last week I was reminded of why I am such a huge believer in these programs.
As I said, it was much needed to have a break and regroup, but my fitness was not consistent, I went back to some of my old eating habits (what are portions?🤷🏻♀️), and just felt unmotivated, lethargic, and frustrated with myself👎🏻
It made me realize that someone like me NEEDS a workout program that I can stick to each day, an accountability group to keep me showing up for myself and for them, a meal plan that keeps me mindful of healthy habits, and consistent goals to be working towards. That’s what gets me fired up and excited. That’s what gives me energy and makes me feeling proud. And that’s why I am SO excited to be starting a new bootcamp with a new program and make some progress again🙌🏻🙌🏻
Cannot wait to see what these next 21 days have in store!! Happy Monday!
I would love to regale you all with the tale of my first marathon, and how I overcame some suboptimal training to run a respectable time. I cannot though. At mile 16, I walked off the course and to one of the last drop out stations. I fought as much as I could for long as it still made sense to, and then made a judgement call. It wasn’t my day, and I wasn’t about to death slog to the finish line. At that point, I had come into one of the first ever lose-lose situations I’ve encountered in 14 years of running. If I quit, I would be disappointed and pissed, if I finished, I would run the risk of injury because I wasn’t trained enough and still be disappointed and pissed because I didn’t set myself up to do well. Though I can’t say I’m happy with the day, I can say I don’t take dropping lightly—I’ve only done it 3 times in my career. It’s always a last resort, and something I’ll live with until I get another day to show what I can do. That day will undoubtedly come, and until then I’ll quietly do what I’m supposed to and make the most of that moment. #medalmonday#tryagain#bevergiveup#onwardandupward#strongwomen#runstrong#fightanotherday#bringiton

😃 We are so excited to be collaborating with STRONG Fitness Magazine on this event - and we are happy to have @paulbuceta - chief photographer of @strongfitnessmag with us taking pics of the event as well as doing photoshoots (I think he may have ONE spot left but otherwise he is filled up!). .
