In The Ladies Edge, this is what we call a sweaty selfie. I’ve been apart of this incredible community of women for over a year but I’ve hardly been able to get the workouts in due to my health. But today was different. I’m sitting here crying like a baby because for the first time in years I FEEL LIKE MYSELF. This past week I invested in supplements and started a morning and night routine with oils and supplements to help get my energy and hormones back on track. It’s only been 4 days of consistency and I’m actually running after Liam, cleaning, taking care of myself, something I have NOT done in a very long long time. I’m bawling because I can see her in the mirror, the women I truly am, the women my husband deserves, the mom Liam deserves. I will never let me health take the back seat ever again, no matter the cost. I am worth it, YOU are worth it!

Taking cue from Salem here, my crabby tips for feely crabby season is this.
The best way to have control is to surrender and trust, right? So chill is just about right. It is all working out as it’s meant to - and you do have it all, if you believe it.
Do what you want to, not have to.
Feel the feelings but let your intuition choose your fate, not your emotions or reactions.
Give yourself permission to listen to yourself, and know that it’s safe to hear out even your darkest thoughts.
Trust yourself. To trust is to love, too.
I have been in a mini-cut for 6 weeks now and the scale JUST MOVED THIS WEEK!
My food has been lowered a few times to try and pull off some fat so that mentally I’m ready to build again
AND THE SCALE HASN'T MOVED
The number on the scale does not measure your worth
It does not mean you are not making progress
It does not mean you should give up
It does not mean that you haven’t been working your ass off
The Scale is 1 tool to use as a measurement
THAT IS ALL IT IS
I have seen and talked to way too many ladies (myself included) that depend on this number to make or break them
How can you get over this and what should you do?
▶️It’s a good habit to weigh yourself daily, at the same time before food/drinks etc. Then record it and average it out for the week
▶️Take progress pictures!!!! Often times you will SEE the difference before you will see the scale move ▶️Picture on the left i weighed 124.8. Picture on the right (10 months ago) i weighed 121. But look at the difference
▶️These are a GREAT way to measure your progress as well as reflect on where your journey takes you
▶️Do measurements. At least in your waist and hips for us ladies. You can also do legs and arms.
▶️Look at your workouts….is your endurance better? Are you getting stronger? More energy? Clothes looser? All are signs of progress!
So why does the scale not always show progress?
Here are just a few:

I love food. It took me over 30 years to understand how much I should eat. In that process I overate, underate, feared food, loved food, binged, regretted it, underate, overate, etc... Holy vicious cycle!! Oh, and I also hated my body the whole time.
I knew there had to be a better way so... 🌟I went from punishing myself to fueling my body. 🌟I started being grateful for my body rather than focusing on flaws. 🌟I started enjoying the process rather than checking for quick results. 🌟Biggest one: I did lots of work on loving myself because that's the root of everything!

You can't be on-the-go all the time. Your mind and body needs rest too. Pace yourself. Take breaks when it's needed. Take deep breaths and some quiet time to yourself. Get outside in nature if possible.
Burning the candle from both ends won't get you anywhere faster. We need time tumor recharge our batteries. Our lives are not a race and we only get one body in this life. Exhaustion and burnout are very real and present when we are moving at the speed of light and not being mindful.
Do your present and future self a favor and notice the signs before you burnout too quickly. Take care of yourself so you can come back kicking it harder than before.

Have you been taught that you can’t have it all?
I often hear clients say, “I have the partner, the house, the career - is asking for a baby too much? Should I just be grateful for what I have?”
But instead of resisting, lets disrupt that monkey mind by leaning into the love that you DO have in your life.
Put your hand on your heart and feel the energy pump towards it when you allow yourself to bring in all the love in your life. Then, if you feel comfortable, imagine your future child. And bring him or her into your heart.
Take a couple minutes and really receive it. Breathe. Let it in.
Sometimes the easiest way to change your negative thoughts (believing there’s a cap on love and abundance is a fucking negative thought FYI) is just to focus and direct the energy.
A lot of my sessions with clients includes changing your thoughts - but it also involves directing your energy to where you want to go.
