Summer had a wonderful (ok, and somewhat stressful) way of mixing up your day-to-day routine. Cheers to embracing that change as much as we embrace these summer days that seem to fade away too quickly. • In the spirit of mixing up routines, I had a great class today at a new space with a new crew — thanks for having me in today @workbar!
Thank you @movewith for this amazing gift package. It was a joy to participate in the #10daystozen challenge with @dannipomplun. With one of my May intentions centered around “finding my mental balance,” meditation continues to be a part of my self-care journey. 🧘🏽♀️🙏🏽

How are your May #intentions going? This is your one week check in! Here is what I’m focused on this month: ⠀
Get outside every work day | Don’t wait for the weekend to have outdoor adventures. ⠀
Find your mental balance | Work, teaching, gym, travel, family, friends...even the best things in life can add up and overwhelm. Calm your mind with breathwork, meditation and movement. ⠀
Let go of what no longer serves you | From clothes to self-doubts and everything in between, release the physical, mental and emotional ties that hold you back.
Snap from yesterday’s session at DK HQ. As someone who works in sports tech, I especially love teaching my fellow Boston sports techies 🏈🤓

Morning scene | Slow start to the morning - a rarity for me as I’m always running out the door for a gym class or to get into the office before the chaos of the day starts. This morning included yoga flows, sequencing and a warm beverage. Sometimes it’s nice to slow it down and set a softer tone for the day. Looking forward to the work day, teaching yoga this evening to my @draftkings crew, and then home with enough time to make dinner and watch a movie. Here’s to finding joy in the regularity of life ✨
Special thanks to @edgeworthjewelry for my newest beautiful plant baby. I named her Begonia 🌱

Be childlike in your practice - it doesn’t have to all be so serious ☺️ Practicing virtually with some seriously cool west coast kiddos - thank you @k.kallas16 for letting me Skype into your class!

And how many times, once trained in self-sacrifice, do we have the opposite conversation with ourselves; our passion for life saying yes, yes, yes, and our practical guardedness saying, don’t be foolish, be realistic, don’t leave yourself unprotected. #thebookofawakening

We cannot hold on to things and enter. We must put down what we carry, open the door, and then take up only what we need to bring inside. #thebookofawakening
My friends are the most amazing humans. Here’s one of them - @captzaro - who I’ve known for well over 2 decades. Thanks for rocking #7days7waystofly you beautiful babe. And thanks for sticking by my side for all these years 💕 Cheers to the next two decades and the adventures they hold!
As a yogi I figured meditation would come naturally (HA!). Despite repeated attempts to integrate meditation in my daily yoga practice and life, it’s been an uphill battle to say the least (orrrr a nonexistent battle #speakyourtruth - right?!).
Trying something new this go around - committing to 10 days of mindful meditation with the help of @movewith. With each meditation under 10 mins and @dannipomplun as the guide, I’m feeling like I can commit to this in a way that feels more doable in my every day life.
This is me getting my #10daystozen on for the second day in a row. Meditating in the midst of blizzard conditions here in Boston was remarkable soothing...Anyone else regularly meditate? Do you use an app? Morning vs. evening? Tell me - I’d love to hear!
When you’ve been sick for the past 3 days 🤒 and @the_southern_yogi comes to your rescue. Thank you for this gentle flow 🙏 it was just what I needed to get some movement back into my body (and actually leave my apartment for the first time in days...🙄). @aloyoga keep the amazing yoga videos coming!!!
#7days7waystofly • Day 7: Reverse wrist crow variation. This one is an arm balance and a mega-forearm stretch all in one - nice! 💪🏽 I love to rock climb, so this is a fun twist on crow pose to release my tight forearms after a day of climbing ⛰
Thanks for joining along during this week of crow pose! What was your favorite variation? What other poses would you like to see variations of? Comment below!

#7days7waystofly • Day 6: On deck for today we have side crow. In this crow variation, you can perch your hip and knee like a shelf on top of your triceps. Another option is to place your hands perpendicular to your upper leg and perch the outside portion your upper leg on one tricep. Try them both and see what feels best in your body!
I love dropping into side crow from twisted chair - because let's be honest, I'll take any reason to get out of chair pose. Extend your legs out to scissors for an added bonus.
Wearing @aloyoga 🙏
Last day of vacation (cue dramatic music) 🌴 Are you...running away from the thought of returning to the “real world” or running towards your everyday life? 🏃🏽♀️
We’ve all heard the quote “create a life you don’t need a vacation from” - but let’s be realistic, there is nothing wrong with needing or wanting to mix up your day-to-day. Mental and physical breaks are important for us to find balance, rebuild energy, and gain new perspective (and hopefully gratitude!) for what we have. 🙏
So while it is important to build a life that you love - hopefully that life includes traveling and exploring and adventuring. Some of life’s greatest experiences happen outside of our comfort zone. So whether you simply take a new route home from work or travel many countries away, make adventuring a part of your everyday life 🌎
Working out on vacation - YAY or NAY? .
I try and keep some semblance of a fitness routine when I’m away because 1.) It feels good and 2.) It makes it easier to get back into my routine when I get back home. .
Typically I avoid gyms when I’m away, opting instead for something more in line with my destination. Beach work outs for those sunny locations, hiking if you’re in the mountain, etc. Check out the body weight work out I did on the sunny veranda this morning (video is sped up 2.5x):
🔸 Rear foot elevated lunge with 2 pulses and a hop - 10 each leg
🔸 Decline pushups bringing opposite knee to opposite elbow - 10 total
🔸Twisted hand-to-foot pose with single leg deadlift - 10 each leg
🔸 Mountain climbers standard and cross body variations (towels optional) - 10 standard and 10 cross body .

Trip update: Arrived at the Airbnb in Miami, went to open up lock box, no keys. Host’s phone number was disconnected. Stood on the sidewalk with luggage for over an hour on hold with @airbnb support. Awesome. •
After the initial wave of annoyance (and 3 tacos later) I started looking on the bright side. ✔️ I had a home to go to 2 hours away ✔️ I had friends who were texting me supporting messages to keep spirits high ✔️ I had a full belly ✔️It was warm, dry weather. •
It is easy to get annoyed and upset when things don’t go to plan, especially on the limited vacation days that most of us have in our busy schedules. However, dwelling on the frustrations when plans go down the tube only takes away from that precious time off. •
So - get annoyed, you’re human after all. But then as fast as you can, change gears to focus on getting back to your adventure and finding gratitude in the positives. Life is so much more enjoyable when you roll with the punches 😎
