Here’s a video to show not every time I lift goes according to plan... I haven’t snatched heavy or really much at all since @dxbfitnesschamp back in December and I decided to start lifting again to prepare for the @brazilcrossfitchamp so here is me building up to a heavy Touch N Go double for the day at 285lb. Go ahead and have yourself a laugh 😂 I’ll make sure to do more weight for y’all next time 🤷♂️

25 cal ski
50 wall balls (20/14)

100’ Handstand walk
Clean and Jerk (Work to heavy set of 3+1, 2+1 and 1+1)

*I did a power at the end for funsies

💥FRONT RACK MOBILITY💥
There’s a lot to unpack when talking about the front rack position .
Ideally we want our elbows pointed parallel with the ground trough the entire lift.
👆🏼Here are a few drills I find helpful with most cases to either decrease overall discomfort or increase mobility for the front rack.

I would argue that the lack of shoulder external rotation (in the horizontally adducted position), thoracic extension, and ankle dorsiflexion are the biggest limiting factors with most people!

Take a look at the second split jerk from @saffronardren. Saff waits in the split position until she has full control of the bar before standing thr bar up and completing the lift. This is a good habbit to have in your lifting. .
Lifters often rush standing up the bar which results in taking the bar for a walk or even missing the lift.

With my Half Marathon last weekend it’s been awhile since I have worked on some #Oly , today I started out with an elliptical warmup and followed it with a dynamic warmup and activation today’s workout included clean pulls, kettle bell swings, push press, #PowerClean from Power and Hang positions , and Overhead Squat. I finished the workout with a 12 minute Core and Jump Rope finisher. Tomorrow’s plan is to run 4 miles in the morning and get an upper body lift and core work in later in the day. Mixing it up. 🏋🏻♂️

I had a conversation with someone recently who said their goal was to inspire people and I was thinking about it today. Inspiring people should just be a byproduct of living your life. I've never woken up and thought "how can I inspire someone today?" I simply wake up and live my life. Maybe some people do that, but that hasn't been the case for me. All Im doing is relaying the information and if that inspires someone then cool, but it isn't a goal I set.
My buddy @natecnorman use to say "It has to speak to me before it can speak to you." So whether it's a bible verse, famous quote, workout routine or just some random thought Ive been thinking about throughout the day, it has to speak to me, before it can speak to you, I just relay the information.
Inspiring people is based upon what they do with the information you relay and that is out of your control so "inspiring people" isn't really a goal, it's a byproduct of getting after your own goals, which means living your life with resolve and intent.
Social media has given people an avenue to relay the information so just go out and live your life, document it, and if people are inspired then cool, but dont stress over it.
I post a picture of my watch every weekday now because people have always asked how I get everything done and every day someone's dropping a 💯 in the DMs when they see it. For whatever reason waking up early inspires people cause they know someone else is getting after it long before most people even roll out of bed.
Dont ever forget though, long before I even had an Instagram, long before I had my first "follower," and whether I have 10 followers or 10 million followers, that alarm clock was/is going off and Im going to be knocking down life's goals. If I can inspire some people along the way then cool... but that's just a byproduct. All I'm doing is relaying the information.

Je ne sais pas expliquer cette addiction à la souffrance, à l’adrénaline, au dépassement de soi... Tout ce que je sais, c’est que le jour ou j’ai franchi le pas d’aller au CrossFit, je ne savais pas que je venais de prendre une des meilleures décisions de ma vie!
J’ai mis mon égo de côté et j’ai laissé faire les choses : un nouveau langage à apprendre, de nouvelles techniques à apprendre, une nouvelle méthodologie d’entraînement, une nouvelle philosophie, de nouveaux visages... Cela fait maintenant 6 mois déjà dans cette box... Au fur et à mesure, on lache le pvc pour une barre... puis cette barre devient une barre chargée, puis les poids deviennent de plus en plus légers!
Au fur et à mesure, ces inconnus deviennent des personnes avec qui des affinités se créent.
On entend souvent cette idée reçue que le CrossFit est une secte... et bien je réponds à ça : ouais t’as raison ! Écoutes encore ces ignorants 😂
Tu n’as absolument aucune idée de ce que tu rates !
Mes coachs et mes partenaires me poussent à devenir meilleure au quotidien alors qu’ils n’ont strictement rien à gagner. Ici la preuve avec ma partenaire Sarah ❤️ qui m’a poussé jusqu’au delà de mes limites aujourd’hui.
