The kids are fed but I haven’t had a second to eat. The kids are bathed but I can’t remember when I showered last. The kids clothes are clean and dressed but I’m in the same pyjamas from three days ago. The kids are all sleeping but I’m working away at my never ending to do list. It’s misleading to say “sleep when the baby sleeps”. Because if I sleep, then the kids meals won’t be made, their clothes won’t get cleaned, the dishes will never get done and the house will not function. To all the parents working hard to keep things going, I hope you get some well deserved time to yourself this weekend ♥️

Leonas, 10 Tage frisch, bei seinem allerersten Frühstücksdate mit Mama und Papa! Ich weiß noch, dass ich zwei Frühstücksplatten gegessen habe - ich hatte immer einen unfassbaren Hunger während der Stillzeit ! Ich habe sogar nachts gegessen und auch noch während die Jungs an meiner Brust hingen. 🐻 Ich habe zwar grundsätzlich gesund und ausgewogen gegessen, aber auch hochkalorisch und häufig auch Süßigkeiten in allen Formen und Farben 😅 mein Körper wollte das so ! 😂
Abgenommen habe ich trotzdem, ohne bewusst darauf zu achten. Woran das lag, hört ihr in meiner neuen Podcast Folge "gesund zur Wunschfigur nach der Geburt - mit der richtigen Ernährung". Außerdem erzähle ich euch, welchen Umgang ich mit dem eigenen Körper in den ersten Monaten empfehle, was ihr am besten esst und worauf ihr generell achten solltet und, solltet ihr eine Diät zur Gewichtsreduktion machen wollten, wie ihr das GESUND und ERFOLGREICH anstellt. Insbesondere dann, wenn ihr noch stillt.
Da leider viele furchtbare Programme, falsche Mythen, fatale Vorbilder und unprofessionelle Tipps bei Insta kursieren, liegt mir die Folge besonders am Herzen. Denn ich wünsche mir, dass keine Frau die Fehler macht, die ich vor Jahren gemacht habe und noch heute die gesundheitlichen Konsequenzen dummer Diäten tragen muss. I go in for surgery Thursday morning. Life is going to be very different over the next few months as I heal. I am a bit nervous about not being able to workout every day (that's a total lie, i'm totally freaking out) because working out keeps my Lyme symptoms down. The pain and stiffness is almost non-existent when I start my days off working out. At the point that I am clearer to be working out, I will be starting super slow and super low impact. My goal 6 months from now is to be back to where you see me right now.
People say that God only gives us what we can handle! God must think that I am one BADASS LADY! #justsayin
Schedule your exercise like an apointment. It works best if you put it in your calendar. When you write something down you are more likely to do it. Start scheduling and plan ahead to put boundaries dedicated to your exercise and fitness.

Hormones part 2
Did you know that of the 6 main hormones, insulin is the most important and is the one that influences all the others? So when my blood sugar used to spike and dip all day long and I’d get that afternoon crash or become hangry, it was actually affecting my thyroid hormones.
Same with estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and cortisol. Regulate your blood sugars, regulate your hormones.
This constant state of blood sugar imbalance that we all have based on the foods we eat can contribute to irregular menstrual cycles, acne, hair loss, and infertility in females. In males, we see gynecomastia and sexual dysfunction.
And now there is even further evidence of a gut connection to hormones as well, particularly #estrogen. Comment below and I will DM the article!

Sono anni che cerco di avere una forma fisica #stabile, insomma, ho anche 36 anni ed è normale essere soggetti a variazioni di peso/forma durante il corso della vita.
Prima della #gravidanza pesavo 50 chili, seguivo una dieta bilanciata ad oc dalla nutrizionista e tutto andava alla grande.
Poi, per questioni #ereditarie, scopro il #diabetegeatazionale che mi farà passare gli ultimi mesi della gravidanza di Allegra senza poter mangiare niente praticamente imbottendomi pure di insulina.
Cesareo, placenta via, diabete via con lei.
#postpartum mi sono abbuffata di tutto ciò che non avevo potuto magiare mesi prima, perciò la scorsa estate non abbiamo avuto una gran prova costume 😅, ma nell’ inverno qualcosa cambia di nuovo e comincio a deperire! Allattamento?
Il mio corpo era debilitato ed ormai senza liquidi. Solo al limite delle forze valuto l’azienda di cui avevo sentito parlare dalle mie amicizie #mammeinforma e decido di provare i nutraceutici naturali tanto famosi, anche perché i farmaci non li volevo prendere e costavano pure di meno!

This tank of mine is giving me all the feels. ❤️ I bought this and repped it when I was only a mom of boys. I loved life and was proud of the little gentleman we were raising. I was on my game, fitness-wise and feeling confident and proud of the health routines I was in....😎 ...until I got pregnant.
There was a huge underestimation on my part on how much of a toll growing a baby would have on my body. My eating style drastically changed, physical concerns during the pregnancy added to stress and my declining mental wellness, and of course, drastically reducing my workouts & runs. 😳
Spending time mourning over the loss of what was is not where I want to spend my energy.🤪 Instead, I’m going to plan and look forward to the new journey. I am ready to commit to a #newme in whatever capacity that turns out like. In T-2-4 weeks, I am going to embark on a new health journey, with many of the tools I learned previously... all with a newborn little lady that has been added to our tribe. 💕
This time, I am looking for boat loads of supporters or even people who want to make a change and do it along side me, because I know I will need the motivation, support and encouragement along the way. You know being a woman is hard. The voice inside my head is not reassuring, nor does she provide comfort. I am my own worst critic and enemy. I have lost 94 lbs while growing an entire human life inside my body. Mentally she tells me it is not enough, I am not enough. Will i fee better at 100 lbs lost? Will I let these last 47 lbs I want to loose define me as a person? If I loose the 47 will it be enough? Probably not. I’ve never lost 2 lbs a week unless I was starving myself doing CrossFit 2xs a day 5-6 days a week. I look at the data and am giving myself a break. I won’t let her compare me to anyone else. No one else had my story. Today is a day for self reflection and appreciation. Everyone of you inspire me!

For me, “maternity leave” has meant taking things one day at a time, setting personal boundaries, and honestly, not doing anything I don’t feel like doing. This past week, I’ve slowly started climbing out of the postpartum trenches and checking back in to the rest of the world, and it’s felt good. I’ve reconnected with some friends, family members, sorority sisters, nursing colleagues, and my Beautycounter team, and I’ve been able to make a few family plans past tomorrow (which is a big deal).
These are my circles where I can relax and feel whole; where I’m reminded of the gifts that I offer the world. These are the circles that remind me to accept responsibility for my own self-care. I shine the brightest when I join hands with and lean into my circles; these people share my values and dreams, and they allow me to discover and express my most authentic self. These are my people—my tribe.
No excuse for this run being slower than yesterday especially since it’s only 71° out (99% humidity though). No idea if it’s the extra weight I’m carrying or my legs are just weak (which is obvious since I haven’t done leg day in 928272 years it seems) but running my legs feel a million pounds each and it’s frustrating. But anyways, have a good Saturday! Or don’t, I’m not your boss 🤷🏽♀️

Me and Ettie had the longest lie in this morning which was very much needed!! We didn’t get out of bed until just before noon! She woke at 3am and 8am for a feed then I had to wake her at 11:30am.... girl loves her lazy Saturdays whilst her mama is at work. Tonight we are going to a wedding reception at the very same place as we got married almost 2 years ago ❤️ where has the last 2 years gone?!
For lunch today it’s the yummy trio jacket spud of beans, cheese and tuna mayo (hex A and 1 syn for 2tbs of lighter than light mayo) I completely ran out of lettuce for my salad too so just added a bit of speed to the side.

I used to be a morning person ☀️
I used to be the first one up at sleep overs, 8AM used to be “sleeping in” for me, my body used to voluntarily wake up at 6AM on any given day, and I spent 2.5 years of my life as a Morning Meteorologist where my work days started at 2AM! 😦
I thought, “Having a baby will be easy! I’m a morning person anyways.” Haha. Now? I’m usually not out of bed until 8-9AM because I’m still up 2-4 times a night with Harvey. One thing I’ve learned since becoming a mom is to be FLEXIBLE. 🤸🏼♀️
My days are unpredictable and I never know when/if I can get a workout in, but I always strive to make it happen. Ideally, I would LOVE to sweat it out early and enjoy the rest of my day, but that doesn’t seem to be the case these days. These days I’m working out in the afternoon once Travis is home from training, squeezing in 30 minutes at night, or bringing Harvey with me (👆🏻), and sometimes there’s those rare occasions where I’m up at 6AM and ready to go! Be flexible, my friends 🙌🏻
Let's talk counter pressure for a hot minute! This is something that we use in nearly every single birth that we attend, and we have found over the years that it's just not effective to apply with our thumbs, knuckles, palms or the heel of our hands. SO! We use this little plastic massager, which is incredible! Why do we love it so much? The handle is ergonomic, which means we are able to give our hands a break and save their energy for later. The balls on the ends are different sizes, which gives trigger point relief exactly where you need it. This is my 9 months #postpartum picture. I get asked a lot what I have done over The years to loose my #babyweight and the answer I believe is a healthy balanced diet. Even before I was Vegan I was not big on meat and a lot of my #protein Came from beans, lentils, vegetables! I also have had stomach problems like bloating, cramping & suffered from acne as a result I was on and off of dairy since I was a teenager. With my last birth, I had a #homebirth and started to go back to yoga after a week of birth. In the last couple of months I have decided to really focus on weight training and body weight movements to encourage healthy #musclegain This photo was when I worked a lot on cardio & yoga. I am excited to track my progress and see what results I can get with added protein & weights! #bodytransformation For those who say I am naturally thin it’s not true I have gained 90lbs in the past from over eating and not moving my body enough and this had nothing to do with pregnancy weight. I truly owe my plant based diet to my quick recover after this birth.
I am now 1.5years after giving birth still breastfeeding.

People have asked what tips & tricks I have for flying with a baby.
While I have a few things that help the process be slightly easier, the biggest tip I have is this: ❌❌❌DO NOT STRESS❌❌❌ Your baby will cry & if not this flight then maybe the next one or the one after that. His crying sounds louder to you then to the people around & if it’s too loud for them they can put in their headphones 🤷🏻♀️ For those that do get annoyed with babies crying please try to remember this baby on been on this earth for not very long & now they are on a plane where the pressure is changing, they are out of their routine & they are probably tired.
