With today being #SpotlightSunday, we wanted to debunk the myth that certain mental health illnesses and disorders have a specific physical look in order to be identified☝🏻Many aren't just "a look" and can easily be looked over for only searching for a stereotypical physical appearance. Eating disorders as an example, for especially in media it can be misleading in expecting what an eating disorder should look like. ➡️Over 30 million in the US will be affected by an eating disorder at some point in their life, which can range from 3-6 different types. These can affect anyone and should not be generalized based on a stereotype🐾💜
My current situation... i feel sooo broken and sooo depressed so far and it was sooooo hard for me that's why i have rest myself, my heart, my mind for a while. And im sorry guys if you're not gonna see me posting on my Instagram feed or any other platforms??? for a while only on my story???? Maybe??? And i promise if im gonna come back i think i would be a better version of myself. We will never know.
Until the time runs out... and a life is gone.
At which point... it's too late to say all those things we wish we would have said.
It's too late for that extra "I love you" that you wish you could have said, or the hug you wish you would have given.
It's too late.
We need to realize that each day could be our last... or could be the last of those around us.
What do we want those last memories of us to be?
Do we want people to remember us as kind and helpful? Or mean and angry? Or somewhere in between?
Do we want the last words people heard from us to be ones of anger? Or dismissal? or hatred? Or do we want them to be words of love and kindness?
Do we want to live our life regretting that we didn't tell someone how much they meant to us before they passed on? Or regretting that the last words they heard from us where those in anger?
In our every action, we choose whether to build people up... or tear people down. It's our choice.
We don't know how much time we have left. We don't know when the lives of those around us may end.
We will never know. 🧠

Today I'm off to a trial-run of a potentially new job in graphic design. , and as usual mental illness decides to kick in with the endlessly catastrophising "what ifs". But I am taking it one baby step at a time - my best is still my best, whatever that may be on any given day.

I feel like winning when I am breaking out and unleash my anger. I know my worth and really know how to put people down.
But I feel like losing as well. Losing my conscience and myself. Breaking out was never my style. Composure was.

Posted @withrepost • @crazyheadcomics chances are, you’ve heard of the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a psychological theory with a set of human needs, where the most basic ones are at the bottom, like safety and love, where the goal is to reach the hierarchy and attain the top need; self-actualization. well, this is my spin on the hierarchy, of my personal mental health needs !! these are all things i want to work on attaining to feel as good as i can as a mentally ill person. down at the base i put my most basic needs for mental well-being, support, treatment, and sleep. a good mental health day for me includes the majority of these steps ! most days i don’t reach all of these and that’s okay, our journeys are all peaks and valleys, and happiness can never be constant, that’s all right x •
I want you to know something . You are a strong and beautiful person . You are great and capable , self harming and suicide are permanent solutions for temporary problems . You should destroy and illuminate those ideas from your mind . You are going to be okay I assure you . You have been through worse and you are a warrior . You should have faith in yourself . I know sometimes it seems impossible , sometimes all you want to do is give up or disappear from the world , but you should also remember all the good you did to this world , you should remember the bright future ahead of you , you should remember every single moment on your life you were happy no matter how few . Life gets hard and there are ups and downs but that is how life is and you are strong , stronger than all of those negative thoughts . Iam sending you all the love and positive vibes I have now . I hope you get better 🙏🏻💕
