Dear August Stephanie,
The audacity of you. Please share even a small fraction of your energy and motivation with me. Don’t be selfish.

Teacher appreciation week is coming up! It’s one of my fave weeks of the school year. Our parents and PTA really go above and beyond.
What are some things you appreciate?
As a kindergarten teacher, I’m super appreciative for: getting through a read aloud without a story about the neighbor’s cat, getting through an entire day without seeing fingers in noses, and @lakeshorelearning!
Honestly, I don’t know where I’d be without all of Lakeshore’s kid-friendly and teacher-approved resources. And thank you for my rainbow swag, @lakeshorelearning! 🌈😻
Observation #2 of our bean plants - spring break brought lots of growth and changes! #growingwonder

Ice cream party!🍨💖Yup, that’s how my math lesson went today! We have been learning about coins and their value and today my kids worked on this great activity from @educaclipart and once they finished our ice cream coins we had an ice cream party!💖
My flamingo skirt sadly reminded people of the poor baby flamingo in the Our Planet Documentary on Netflix. Poor baby flamingo 🥺. Also, I’m trying not to smile as much anymore because my @Invisalign buttons freak me out!
I had the opportunity, along with my Kindergarten team, to attend the Alabama Conference for Kindergarten Teachers this year. At this conference, we attended a few sessions by @sprinklestoteaching ☺️ In one of her amazing sessions, she introduced the COJI Coding Robot. Thanks to the wonderful opportunities @donorschoose gives teachers and amazing donations, our classroom has 6 of our very own COJI Coding Robots! We have enjoyed these so much over the past couple of months and I am so excited for the amazing things to come! #donorschoose#cojicodingrobot#kindergartencoding #iteachk#kindergarten
❤️SPEAK YOUR TRUTH❤️
➡️Here we are in #Littleland with our Mindful Message of the day! 🌈❤️🥰🤗 Today we worked on, “Truthful Tuesday”- 🙏🏼❤️and I was reminded (once again) WHY I choose to put so much weight into these SEL lessons🙏🏼🌈❤️. Sooooo many reasons why this is POWERFUL but my favorite is how involved each and every Littlest can be. They all feel they have an experience to share and it brings us closer ❤️💕🌈 #classroomfamilygoals ☝🏼🤗
SWIPE to watch this cuteness/inspiration💕💕💕💕🥰
✅How do you work on creating, maintaining, and strengthening the classroom family unit in your classroom home 🏡?! Let me know below 👇🏼 or tag someone who would love this message💕
Yesterday I posted a picture of things that are falling apart in my classroom... this post is opposite 😂🤪🙈 There are some things in my room that I can’t help but keep super organized...and honestly catch my kids reorganizing for me too!!! (I find some of them fixing my table supplies so all the markers go the same way😂) This little makeup organizer from Target has worked perfect for my small group table!!!!! It’s small enough where it’s not getting in the way, but also has the perfect amount of compartments for aaaaall our supplies! Also... I have been loving using mechanical pencils during small group- it’s my biggest pet peeve when our pencils need to be sharpened and they have to go get a sharp pencil, it wastes so much time!!!! I don’t let them use mechanical pencils on their own because of the lead- but works awesome when I’m right there with them! 🥰🥰🥰
Why would I go to an actual gym when I can workout at home and have support from an actual Princess!! 👸
This has been the best decision I’ve made for my health. I can get an amazing workout at any time of day from a super trainer!!! Kinda a no brainer in my opinion?
If you say you struggle to ‘find’ the time to get to the gym then why aren’t you working out at home? With all the programs you have at your fingertips the reasons why you AREN’T working out are just excuses, #truthbomb
So look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that it’s YOUR TIME!! It’s your time to commit to achieving your goals and NOT giving into the BS excuses! Let get fit for summer together!!! 💪 comment below or complete the application in my bio to join my bootcamp group!!
Happy Dinosaur Day! 🦖🦕
If you ever want to blow kindergarten minds, show them a cup of robin’s egg whoppers and tell them they are dinosaur eggs.. and then casually pop one in your mouth 😂😂.
I gave them all a couple of dinosaur eggs and we all agree that they are delicious 😜. Here’s hoping I don’t have a voicemail box full of parents wondering why I fed their kids dinosaur eggs 🤷🏻♀️. .

PIPPETE RAIN & COTTON CLOUDS (Craft)
This is a simple art and craft to #getcreativewith water to simulate how #rain fall that is easy enough for toddler to do.
-blue liquid watercolor paint
-cotton pads, torn into “cloud” strips
-books, boxes, or other items you can use to prop the tray up so it is tilted at an angle of approximately 30 degrees
-add liquid watercolors in a palette or small container
-ask your toddler to squeeze the paint onto the paper, using pipettes
-add glue to one side of cotton pads
-ask your toddler to stick the clouds on top of the paper
We had a topic about waterfall, rainfall, stones and mountains today. For art and craft we made rain and clouds using the pipettes.
Y managed to stay focused a bit before running around because it was almost time for lunch. That is why the rain drop was rather characteristically scarce. After lunch then we continued with adding the clouds.
She kept saying “rainfall” the whole day each time she saw this picture. One can only hope that someone else would do as instructed. With a toddler, that is unlikely always the case though. She intentionally put the clouds at the bottom of the paper instead of the top. Oh well, she definitely gave this rainfall a personal toddler’s touch. .
⬅️Swipe⬅️ to see what this stack of reading textbook adoption leftovers led to! My kids are going to be SO excited to play in this center! 👨🏫👩🏫 Complete with leveled readers, workbooks they can really use!, and of course a teacher area under the easel! 😍 Can't wait for them to see it tomorrow!
