So I'm in a drawing tournament where I had to draw something related to the Aztecs. So I did some research and now know more about the Mexica tribe and Aztec military classes than I would ever imagine 😂.
Anyways opted for the goddess with a lot of backstory

HIP ABDUCTOR variation:
I can sit on this machine all day! Side booty is gonna feel it tomorrow! 🍑
I’ve gotten to the point where I can do this all day! I do it as a warm-up for leg day and I finish with this exercise just to make sure i can squeeze out every last rep!
Switch up how you use the hip abductor machine to confuse your muscles! 🤯🤨 1️⃣ Single leg - To strengthen each leg individually so it’s not relying on the other
2️⃣ Traditional hip abductor - Squeeze the muscle at the end!
3️⃣ Pulsing - These will burn 🔥

We all start somewhere and this photo captured the beginning 😆 - I was 100 lbs
- zero knowledge about fitness/ nutrition/ and did not know how to properly perform exercises
- As you can see, I am lifting the barbell with no added weights. This was my max 🤭
- I was not able to use the hamstring curl because the min weight was 10lbs and I couldn’t move it. I’m serious!
3 yrs later.......
The Growthhhhhhhhh yay!!!! Celebrating the hard work that I put in 5 days a week ✊
- 30lbs heavier - Volume and definition in hamstrings/ quads/ glutes/ arms
- Did I mention how much stronger I am now? 💪

ABS? Yes please! 🙋🏻♀️ Abs are made in the kitchen 80% diet ladies! Clean diet is key! Watch the sugar and carb intake! Sweat sessions at the gym for cardio and HIIT of course also help! I’ve worked hard for my abs 👙 and believe me it took lots of time and hard work!
I have two kids and I just want to tell my fabulous ladies that YES it is POSSIBLE!!!

Embracing my 40’s.....it’s never felt better and so glad that I went on this fitness journey and changed my life! It was the best thing that I could have ever done for myself...I really do feel like 40 is the new 30!
Enjoying every minute of this lifestyle and feel so happy after every workout that I was able to do it! I want to workout and when I don’t...I’m a miserable person 😠

Saturday morning flow @equinox! Curtsy lunges activates the glutes in a unique way targeting the abductor muscles and specifically the gluteus maximus! Yes it’s a “Send Help” kind of Leg day! 🏋🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️
1️⃣ Alternating leg KB curtsy lunges
2️⃣ Paused KB swings
3️⃣ Alternating KB clean and squat .
40 secs each exercise; repeat 5 to 6Xs!

1. I can see that i should be more shelled up and not be so straight.❌
2. I like how I am twisting my hips to add max power to my punches ✅
3. My hands and combos are quick ✅
4. Hands are up at the chin after each punch ✅
There’s always something I can work on 😬

Going 10 days straight and can’t stop...don’t feel the need for a rest day yet.....
BUT....always listen to your body! Not everyone is the same! I have been going 10 days but my workouts have been a mix between higher intensity, strength and endurance days! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
All kettlebells today for leg day:

DON’T FOCUS ON THE SCALE!! 🔎
Yes the scale measures your weight BUT there are so many factors that influence this number such as MUSCLE WEIGHT/ WATER RETENTION/ FOOD IN YOUR STOMACH!! ⚖
If you are trying to lose weight and you find that your weight has remained the same or even gained...chances are that you gained some muscle growth which is a good thing!!!! :) THE BEST WAY TO MEASURE RESULTS>>>>
- Take pictures and compare month to month📸
-YOUR CLOTHES and how it fits and it will change over time!
I’ve lost 5 lbs this month ( not my goal). However, I look better and my muscle size has remained the same while trimming a bit off my waist. I’ve changed my diet and done some extra cardio dominant exercises this month and my body is very sensitive to these changes.
After this accidental change, I kinda like it! so I am going to continue to eat lean protein and incorporate cardio workouts!

Workout partner, cousins, moms, business partners and besties!
That’s what we are! We have our own strengths that complement one another.
More importantly, as life gets busy...despite the number of friends and people you have in life it still becomes hard to stay in touch and remain close. You end up having a small handful of people whom you really care about and will always be there. 😊😊😊
Sometimes we drive each other crazy, nag, challenge and push one another.....but always towards being BETTER!
